Putting on the Brakes
In her article on beginner poker strategy, Catrina Rudd recommends taking it slowly instead of assuming you can handle a dozen open tables like the pros. This was the most helpful advice I found in her article.
Focus is a key that many people attempt to avoid by playing multiple tables. This does not just apply to people like Gus Hansen who may play as many as 10 or more tables at once, but also to the guy in his hotel room that thinks two tables would be slow enough to maintain an edge and double their money. The reality is that by playing more than one game at a time you are more likely to create reason to tilt. This will give you one opponent, one table, one hand to focus on. This facilitates creating opportunity to bring back the pot time and time again, instead of paying out the blind time and time again with no reprieve.

FullTilt Poker Announces "Pro Chat"
Ever had the time or courage to speak to a poker pro? One of FullTilt Poker's defining features is the ability to watch a professional player at one of their poker tables. The chat box at each poker table allows you to start a conversation with a pro while they're in a hand. Recent, FullTilt Poker announced that they're introducing a new feature to make it easier to interact directly with the professionals of Team FullTilt.
Giving your customers the best experience possible is the surest strategy to keep them returning to your door. Since poker's explosion a few years ago, poker pros like Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Jennifer Harman, Gus Hansen and Chris Ferguson have become celebrities. These men and woman recognize the value in reaching out to their fans.
With Pro Chat, players can talk directly with these and more than 38 other Full Tilt Poker pros through scheduled and impromptu chat sessions. They can ask them anything about poker strategy, reads, memorable hands, bad beats, and what its like to live the life of a pro.
